They offered beautiful surroundings, but horrible service. Visited: July 2008 |

My family and I had stayed at the Fajardo Inn years ago, and decided to come back in Summer 2008. The original cozy hotel we knew, had been replaced by a mega resort. It looked great, with an added pool and multiple additional buildings and services. The rooms were very clean and well tended to.
My complaints though are about the service provided in the restaurants. The very limited amount of waiters and waitresses struggled to keep up with the demand and high volume of customers. Orders were forgotten - and sometimes never brought out. This though, was not the fault of the waiters, they were too tied up handling all orders. This is the fault of management, most likely trying to cut costs to save a couple of bucks. |

Fajardo Inn is the best place on the eastern side of Puerto Rico. Visited: January 2004 |

We went to the Fajardo Inn for the first time during Christmas, 2003 and stayed there 22 days. At first, we didn't know what to expect of this place for we always stayed in the San Juan, area.
But, after many headaches and not being able to move the way we wanted, we called and made reservations at the Fajardo Inn. Boy, we felt like we were treated like royalty. The staff, the room, the pool, the location and the surroundings were spectacular.
We are going back to the Puertorican Parranda. This is Christmas, the Puerto Rican way. We rate the Fajardo Inn five stars. |

The Fajardo Inn was clean. The maids actually even cleaned the screens during my stay.
I was here for one week and had a blast. The staff treated me like family. I just felt the warmth and cozy feeling like I was part of a big happy family. I recommend it highly. |

Fajardo Inn was a very nice place to stay. Visited: February 2003 |

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Fajardo Inn. We stayed for three nights in the main inn, room 214. We had a queen bed, balcony and a view of the water.
The hotel and room were clean, and the staff was always helpful. We were able to store luggage at the inn while we took an overnight trip to Vieques.
If I were to return to this area, I would stay at the Fajardo Inn again. |

Fajardo Inn offers the real Puerto Rico. Visited: November 2002 |

I stayed here for six days, with car. It was clean, clean, clean. And the views were magnificent. The Seven Seas Beach was almost a private oasis, and it was a short jump to Luquillo, and Rain Forest. There were lots of wonderful, simple, seaside eateries very local.
Do not opt for the scenic inn to save a few dollars, it was depressing. Stay only in the main hotel. The trip to Culebra was lots of fun, bring water and food along.
The staff here was so gracious and accommodating. This was the real Puerto Rico, not where all the tourists hang in Condado and Isla Verde. I have been all over PR and loved it here. I am going back next month. |

Value plus friendliness! Visited: October 2002 |

We stayed six days at the Fajardo Inn and have never seen a place with a more friendly staff.
Other reviews have noted a stringent policy on the cost of amenities but we were not charged for pool towels or postcards. If you go, ask for a pool side room - the view is better, but all rooms are HUGE and have the basics of what you would ordinarily expect.
What we didn't expect was the friendliness of the staff. They really went out of their way to accommodate us. The restaurants were a value in terms of cost, and the food was good. The only negative was the humidity level in the room, but we may not have used the air conditioning properly.
We would return without doubt.

My boyfriend and I stayed here one night in July. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was friendly, and the restaurants were decent.
However, the pool was full of kids from the minute it opened to the minute it closed. It was not a great place for couples. |

We stayed at the Fajardo Inn for three nights and really enjoyed our time here.
The room was spacious and very clean. The views of El Yunque and the coastline were fabulous. The most challenging part was finding our way to the Inn the first night, but it was worth the challenge.
The staff was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again. |

What a great place to stay! Visited: March 2002 |

Our family stayed at Fajardo Inn during March break and had a great time.
There were five of us and the rooms were plenty big, so we did not feel too crowded.
The price was right, the pool was great the staff was friendly and the view was breathtaking. In addition, it was located close to great beaches, the rainforest and the ferries to outer islands.
The Blue Iguana and The Starfish restaurants (at the hotel) were both great. In addition, the Golden Bagel just down the road was a great place for breakfast or lunch and Rosas and Lolitas were great dinner restaurants.
A trip to the rainforest was worthwhile, especially for kids. We had a rental car, which definitely helped.
If you want a great place to kick back and relax away from the hustle and bustle of San Juan, this is the place for you. |

A good hub. Visited: January 2002 |

I read about this inn on this site and booked it for my family as an overnight between San Juan and a week's stay in Vieques. From its location, it is a great hub to area beaches and taking the ferries over to Culebra and Vieques. However, while I found the inn to be very friendly, clean, well run and a great stopover, I would not suggest spending your whole vacation here. You would be disappointed with more than a few days, as the beaches are far away. If you don't have a rental car, you will feel stuck. |

The best value I've found in Puerto Rico! Visited: March 2001 |

Although not plush (and most Caribbean hotels I've experienced haven't been), the rooms are ENORMOUS, and clean and quite pretty. There were three adults in my room, with room to spare (in case you need a crib or a cot) and there were convenient cubbies for arranging the inevitable travel equipment everyone brings along.
The food and coffee at the restaurant is very modestly priced—another very pleasant surprise for an on-site restaurant. The pool is fabulous, with a fabulous view of the ocean over the hills.
Our room was not facing the pool, and we had no view at all; so if you are concerned with those types of things, request a room facing the pool. They do have that annoying telephone use fee, with the even more annoying and antiquated fee per minute of use that they tack on.
The Fajardo Inn is convenient to so many things. Fajardo Beach is wonderful, and the more well-known Luquillo Beach is close by, along with the entrance to the Rain Forest. I am a hotel snob, and I would feel comfortable recommending this place to anyone. I will definitely be returning to the Fajardo Inn.

The best place on the island to stay with your family Visited: November 1999 |

The Fajardo Inn was the best. I had an excellent stay. The inn was located at the top of a hill and offered a breathtaking view.
The rooms were spacious and most importantly very clean. The staff were very pleasant. The pool was sparkling and also offered a lovely view.
I could have stayed at the inn my entire vacation, but I do not recommend you do that. I recommend you go out to the town and experience what the locals have to offer. The trip to the nearbly island of Culebra was very worthwhile and relaxing. Also, you must visit the local area restaurants.
I will definitely be returning to stay at the Fajardo Inn. |
